Sorry I have been so awful at updating. The past month has been really busy!
The first week of december I was studying like crazy for finals.
The Second week of december I had finals. After Finals, Matt and I went to Seattle for a concert featuring Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds. It was awesome! Our hotel was only like 2 1/2 blocks away and then afterwards we walked to a Mcmennamins that was just 2 blocks away :)
The third week in December we drove down to OREGON!
Friday the 17th= Rehearsal dinner for Cameron and Megan Lucas' wedding and bachelor/Bachelorette parties :)
18th= Wedding day.
the rest of the week was super super busy, so busy I can hardly remember what we did.
there was seriously not ONE day where I did nothing.
thursday the 23rd= did Christmas with my mom and grandma, I love them so much!
friday the 24th= went to Matt's dads for christmas eve.
Christmas day= went to Matt's moms for christmas dinner.
we were very blessed this year, not only with presents but being able to go down to Oregon :)
Basically that is what this past month looked like. Nothing too exciting.
Anyways, let's move on to other news.
It looks like I will be moving down to Oregon at the end of FebRuary (I capitalized the "r" because a lot of the time people either forget it, or don't even know that's actually how you spell it ;) you know who you are!)
That means I only have two months left up here in washington. It's very bittersweet. For a long time I have been so anxious to move back home, I wish I would have just been more content in the now. I miss our dingy first apartment and being newly married. I miss our studio apartment a lot too. I think I miss them a lot because we had a lot of great memories at both of those apartments, just like I will miss this apartment we live in now.
I'm scared for the next two years. I have no idea where I'm going to live, how to raise a child and a puppy that thinks its my child, let alone doing it on my own!
It's very scary, and I have been so anxious about it lately. I keep having to remind myself of this passage in the Matthew 6:25-34 25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life[a]?
28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
I really need to quit being so anxious, and stressed. God will provide for our family. I need to have faith, but since I'm human that doesn't always happen.
I'm sorry this is so long, but I do have other news!
baby news:
on January 25th we will find out the sex of our baby! I'm very excited and anxious to find out what we will be having!
here are the names we have picked out: (they are subject to change, but I'm pretty sure we are sure these are what the names will be.)
Boy:
Jack Handewith Miller
Girl:
Annabelle Grace Miller
(I also kind of like it spelled Annabel).
I'm sorry (again) that this was so long, and not that exciting. I promise I will update more often :)
