Neah Bay

Matt and I finally had a weekend where we could go do anything we wanted together! We decided to go to Cape Flattery in Neah Bay, and we took Riley with us. On the way there, we made a few stops.
Our first stop was in Port Angeles. We walked down to the beach and got to see some amazing sand sculptures(there was a contest the prior weekend), and then we had some lunch at a pizza place. One stupid thing about Port Angeles is that there farmers market was NOT dog friendly, what kind of farmers market does that? Anyways, after our pizza lunch we stopped at a placed called "Cock-a- doodle doughnuts" They were pretty delicious. Before we left Port Angeles we thought it would be good to let Riley eat and have some water. BAD IDEA. About 15 minutes later she started vomiting, so we pulled over and took her out of her carrier and cleaned it out. another 10 minutes later, same thing....except she had vomit all over her :/ I tried cleaning her off and let her sit on my lap for the rest of the trip (thankfully she slept). A little while later, traffic was stopped because... there was a BULL IN THE ROAD! It was kind of scary, that thing could have annihilated our car! thankfully a truck ran it off the road and into it's owners yard.

The drive to Neah bay was beautiful, and Cape Flattery was even MORE beautiful. We saw Sea lions out on a rock, and a lot of birds. The water was such a deep turquoise. It really was beautiful, and well worth the vomit-y car ride.

On our drive home we remembered we had only one headlight working ( all week I kept forgetting to go the the auto parts store and get another.) and just our luck, we got pulled over. Thankfully The police officer was very nice and didn't get us a ticket or anything, he just said to get a new headlight. That could have been really bad!

Over all our day was truly amazing. It is one day I will cherish forever :)
